Common questions

Booking, Timing and Same-Day Service

Getting someone out quickly matters more than anything else when a drain's not behaving.

How fast can you get here?

We aim to have someone on your property the same day you call, and often sooner. Hills storms can overwhelm stormwater drains fast, so we treat those calls as urgent. A real person takes the details before anyone jumps in a van.

What happens after I call?

A real person takes your details, not a call centre. We talk through what's happening, agree a time that suits you, and confirm one price on site before any work starts. Same-day slots are usually available.

Do you work weekends and public holidays?

Yes. We're on-call 24/7, including weekends and public holidays, so a blocked drain on a Sunday gets the same response as one on a Tuesday. There's no after-hours surcharge and no waiting until Monday.

How do I book?

Call (02) 9139 9982 and a real person will take your details straight away. We'll talk through what's going on, get someone booked in, and confirm the price before any work begins.

Common questions

Pricing, Quotes and Offers

No surprises once the work is underway, just one price agreed upfront.

How does your upfront fixed pricing work?

We inspect the blockage first, then agree the price with you before we start any work. That figure holds from start to finish, even if the job runs longer than expected. Getting someone out to have a look costs nothing, thanks to our $0 call-out fee.

What discounts do you offer?

$65 comes off your first service, and four more offers run alongside it. A jet blast includes a complimentary CCTV inspection, a job worth $200 or more unlocks a free plumbing check, every completed job qualifies for a bonus garden tap, and seniors get a 20% reduction. Combining more than one is normal.

What does '$65 off your first service' cover?

It's $65 off the cost of your first job with us, taken straight off the price we quote before we start. There's no catch and no minimum spend attached. It simply applies to whatever work you need done.

What does 'from $89' actually include?

Blocked drains start from $89 for straightforward jobs, confirmed as a fixed quote before we touch anything. If your blockage turns out to be more involved once we've had a proper look, we explain why and agree the new price with you first.

Common questions

Local to Castle Hill

A few questions we hear specifically from homeowners in this suburb.

Do tree roots cause many blockages around Castle Hill?

Tree roots cause more blocked drains here than anything else we see. Established trees along the older streets, including those near Castle Hill High School, have had decades to work their way into ageing pipe joints.

Why do Castle Hill's older homes get blocked drains?

Much of Castle Hill was subdivided from orchard land through the 1960s and 1980s, and homes from that wave often still run original earthenware or clay sewer pipe. Decades of movement in the local shale-clay soil have left plenty of those joints cracked or shifted, and that's exactly where blockages start.

How local are you, really?

As local as it gets without claiming an address we don't have. Our crews are working around Castle Hill Metro Station and the surrounding streets most weeks, alongside the neighbouring suburbs we also cover.

Do you handle strata and units?

Yes. Apartment and townhouse living has grown a lot around the town centre since the Metro arrived in 2019, and we regularly quote on shared building drainage as well as jobs inside individual units. It's just as normal a job as the older standalone houses.

Common questions

Licensing, Insurance and Responsibility

The legal side of drainage work, kept plain.

Are you licensed and insured?

Yes. Our plumbers hold current licences, and the team includes licensed gas fitters too. We're fully insured, and our NSW Plumbing Licence number is #465156C.

Who is responsible for a blocked sewer, me or Sydney Water?

As a rule, the pipework inside your own property boundary is on you, and the water authority looks after everything from the connection point outward, including the main. When a blockage turns out to sit on their side of that line, we'll say so upfront rather than quote for work that isn't ours to do.

What standards does drainage work follow?

All drainage work we carry out follows the AS/NZS 3500 plumbing standards, covering how pipes are sized, laid and connected. It's the same benchmark a licensed plumber works to on any property, new or old.

What is your lifetime labour warranty?

Every repair we carry out is backed by a lifetime labour warranty. If the same problem returns, we come back and fix it again, and you won't be charged for it.
